ABOUT THE PAINTING... 'Wonderland' is an actual scene looking outside my studio window. Evening is just starting to set in during another heavy snowfall in the oak, maple and black cherry forest. The Northern Cardinal (male and female) takes away the bleakness of those long dark winter days and lifts my spirits everytime I see one. It's my favourite bird to paint.
