ABOUT THE PAINTING... This is a painting composed of two simple things combined into one. I enjoy painting skies and stormy clouds. Painting good clouds is not easy and a challenge to many a painter. Clouds are the true absolute study in tonality for the painter to capture well, especially in acrylic since it dries so fast. These are cloud tops from a storm over Lake Ontario and the goose was painted from numerous studies of Canada geese landing and flying in the Cobourg Ontario harbour.
