ABOUT THE PAINTING... This painting depicts a heavy snowfall one afternoon with above freezing temps. The snow started to thaw and then it re-froze. The resulting frozen water droplets created interesting accents on the white pine needles. The stunning cardinal is one of the local birds here at the studio property each winter.
